The McIntosh Chiefs Varsity Team beat Brookwood with a score of 4-3 to take home the GHRA 4A State Championship trophy. They won 32 seconds into double overtime with a slapshot by DJ Rodriguez, assisted by Austin Baldwin.
All skaters contributed to the win with either a goal or an assist. Goalie Sam Sheikali stopped 22 shots.
The Chiefs also took home the 3A/4A Division trophy for the regular season.
